We might say the event was a success, considering that they planned it only Friday. Little time to spread the word.
The turnout was a disappointment for me. I imagined we could at least fill a block of Ayala Ave. I had hoped a lot of people would show up. But, no. My estimate was that there were only about 200.
Oh well. We tried.

#MakatiCity has announced it will replace the protected* #bike lane on #AyalaAve with #sharrows (shared lane markings). Many people are outraged.
I'm not.

Anyway...
I'm joining Sunday's 🚲 even, not because I'm against what's happening to Ayala Ave per se, but more for the broader picture.
We need better bike infrastructure.
Not just band-aid solutions.
