This coat inner liner was going to recycling but I had a brain wave and cut the sleeves off, stitched up the holes. Sewed the bottom together and the neck and, voila, I used what was left of the foam from the destroyed dog bed to make a smaller one with a nice sturdy built in zip and a strong material for the terrier. #MakeDoAndMend

I did a quick repair.
20 odd years ago I picked up an Adidas sweatshirt and joggers from a clothes donation package.
I have been using them as pajamas ever since.

The sleeve cuffs had given up a while ago and today I finally got around to repairing them.

I used the cuffs from a pair of good socks, that has ripped at the ankle too far to repair, and replace the sleeve cuffs.

The blue makes a good highlight for the grey.

I believe #StormOtto is hitting the north east of England and Scotland but here on the #LancasterCanal in the north west it has been a pretty windy night and there look to be waves on the canal. The #narrowboat moored in front of us has just set off ok though.

Just had the battery in my 2015 iPhone changed... At 7½ years old it's been doing pretty well, and with this small repair who knows? Maybe it can get to celebrate its 10th birthday?

Meanwhile, I feel somewhat ridiculously excited; as if I had gotten an entirely new phone or something! (But at a fraction of the cost, and obviously with a smaller environmental impact.)

#Mending - I mended one of J’s shirts rather than see it tossed. It’s not meant to be a visible mend 😅 but it’s not that noticeable against the pattern either. I stabilised the back with a scrap of coordinating fabric- and the thing about love hearts is that if every edge is cut on the bias, it won’t fray 💕

I made a nice pieced patch for this worn out reusable grocery bag, and sewed it on and reinforced it with some #quilting. On the side of the bag without holes 🤦

I am having a #RepairShop moment. The glossy coating is coming off the handles of an otherwise rather nice handbag (big enough to hold a crochet project and a novel), and I am covering them with a cork fabric. Channeling Susie Fletcher, I'm using a two needle cross stitch!
