« #Makery met with the author of the book “ #LiveCoding ? What does it mean ? ” to discuss this relatively new form of music-making. He talks about live coding vs. hacking, computer software, clubbing, and above all : What does it take to become a live coder ? » https://www.makery.info/en/2021/02/26/english-to-become-a-live-coder-you-need-to-practice-practice-practice-interview-with-giovanni-mori/
I’m not getting a huge number of definite yes responses to this thread - there’s more people saying they want to watch a monthly yarncraft themed hashtag than join in, which is fine! We all have lots of commitments.
I’m seeing positive responses to both #YarnTales and #Makery. Can people help me pick one of those two? My personal inclination is the former, as it’s more obviously fibery. Makery has a broader scope (ceramics, for example.)
@Virelai we could vote, but who votes, and with what deadline, and how? I gather that not all instances have polls yet.
I guess the voting could just be a thread on the hashtag each month with a deadline for replies.
Voting does seem like a good option, and we could always change things later if needed.
#makery is probably a shop name too. It’s a word I’ve heard before.
How it would work: the theme would be usually be suggested in the middle of the previous month (in case you need supplies). And then during that month, we’d post about our progress, ask questions, share photos, and use the hashtag to make it possible to find each other’s stuff.
Speaking of which, what about #MonthlyYarns or #TellingYarns or #MonthlyMaking or #Makery or? Suggestions?
This is as far as I’ve gotten in my thinking. What do you all think?
