Finally, Tories are coming around to the idea of a proper political system with proportional results. It's embarrassing how far behind the UK is on this.

Of the 132 divisions held in this session, 69 would have changed result if seats matched votes.

The #strikes by #nurses and #AmbulanceWorkers in the #UK are as much to do with frustration at over a decade of chronic #underfunding of #PublicServices as they are to do with #pay. And if #Sunak and #Barclay can't see that then they are more out of touch with reality than I thought.
And this is against a background of the #rich getting #richer and the #poor getting #poorer.

We are facing some tough years ahead and as things stand the Tories will be dealt a serious blow at the next General Elections no matter what. If disenfranchised Tory voters on the right defect to Reform that blow will be even bigger: both Reform and Tories will get a sizeable vote share, but no or hardly any seats. I can only hope that Labour will use their new gained power wisely at that point and reform the electoral system once and for all to PR.
