@clacke Some people [0] claim that groups are more likely to select a female leader when things are dire, like throwing a Hail Mary pass. Since conditions are especially bad, female leaders often fail to solve the pre-existing problems and their own terms as leader are often unsuccessful.

#KimCampbell , the first female Prime Minister in #canpol would be a good example.

The theory seems plausible, but it may only be based on anecdote.
