In the paper Krüger & Wirth (2011) we elucidate various biologically interesting phenomena based on the #mite #Sarraceniopus #nipponensis (#Histiostomatidae) that is bound to life within the pitchers of carnivorus #Sarracenia plants (#Ericales).

From boyhood forward, I've watched potentially violent men posture, all around me — behavior that's perfectly socially acceptable, because "This Is Just How Men Are." I've watched them walk around, neck drawn in, forehead lowered, eyes glowering upwards — because they think this behavior is intimidating.

It's "masculine."

It's macho.

It's "How Men Are" and "How Men Are Supposed to Be."

Part of the preparation to strike fear into its "enemy" was to intimidate the enemy with that lowered head and that glower out of the tops of the eyes.

This did not surprise me. My whole life long, as a boy who knew he was "different" and who felt much more at ease with women than with men during much of his boyhood, I've known that certain men — many men — are capable of violence.

I was going through a period of depression and stagnation in drawing. I couldn't draw anything, and my work and problems in my life were sucking the juices out of me. I lost confidence in myself as an artist, I was afraid to start drawing again, because it was not working out well. Yesterday only I decided to try to draw something again and unexpectedly the result exceeded my expectations :3 I expected worse, ngl.
