Having malleona thoughts again :blobcatboo: Thinking about how and who would confess first. I honestly adore the idea of Malleus doing it first, with the guy practically waxing poetry about his interests and all, but I /also/ love the idea of Leona doing it first, with him being more brash and upfront in general... So I settle with they do it at the same time, by accident. Maybe. I wanna write it in full at some point.

Leona Kingscholar is no stranger to pain. It has always accompanied him, the ache in his heart and the phantom throb on his left eye. Pain is the only proof of his efforts, the only witness of his despair, the sole faithful companion of the uncrowned king of the savanna.

Love, however, is a foreign concept to him.

He struggles to reconcile his view of the world with the gentle caresses grazing his skin. Leona yearns for the quiet warmth, for the caring embrace that makes he feel, oh, so safe. He wants, and wants, and hopes, hopes that this will never go, that he can feel this forever.

He hopes Malleus Draconia will never let go.

"I won't," Malleus whispers against his skin. Despite the elevated temperature of his breath, Leona's body shivers. "I am yours, and you are mine. Today, and forevermore."

Leona swallows past the lump in his throat. It's not a lie. Malleus is the heir of Briar Valley. He wouldn't lie. He doesn't need to, for he can have every last one of his wishes realized in the snap of a finger.

Maybe, just maybe, that's why it's so hard to believe... Because it's the truth. He wants Leona. He took him as his mate, and promised him the eternity none other could before.

I love you, the words go unsaid, swallowed up by the moans Leona can't hold back any more. Malleus is moving again, brutal in his gentleness and merciless in his love.

They belong to each other. They always will, for as long as they are alive.

Leona will always have another chance to say those three words.

I've been around for some days now but didn't make a proper #introduction yet, so here it goes: Hewwo, I'm Hime, a writer struggling to find her words and a digital artist who rarely draws!
