Manchester Orchestra has been making some astonishing music over the past 6 years or so, a run that began with this stunning record.
I appreciated them before, but with Black Mile, they hit a different gear, and they have not let up since.
A killer record.

It's been a couple weeks and #ManchesterOrchestra 's The Valley of Vision has been on near-constant repeat around here. It's just so good. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer (it's a 6-song EP).

New #ManchesterOrchestra EP is out. It's really good.

Of note: the 7 count in Letting Go is cool but even cooler is the 8 they slip in during the chorus which gives me rhythmic vertigo… in a good way. Took me a bit to figure it out.

Breaking into an Of Monsters and Men sounding march at the very end is strange… but also also fun. Good way to turn the eerie/dark finish into fun.

I've been listening to them for 11+ years, but much more since seeing them live last summer. Solid stuff all around.
