this weekend i read balancing toy / yajirobee (yamakawa aiji), which i can't believe i haven't read before.

so nice to read a step father/step daughter story that doesn't end in romance (is this a spoiler?)! 100% recommend.

i've been putting my focus mainly on older #shoujo lately and filling the major gaps in my library but i also read the more recent tsubaki-chou lonely planet (yamamori mika) which turned out to be yet another age gap story which, yawn.

this weekend i read the extremely low-key Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai (Friendless Yugami: He Does Not Have Any Friends) which was extremely relaxing, comforting, and i still have kind of a warm feeling from reading it, which feels like something someone would say in a manga
