On my way to see/hear @rinayay talk about her new, excellent #graphicNovel, The Man in the Macintosh Suit. Rina Ayuyang’s prior two books were #graphicMemoir & I’m so impressed by what she’s accomplished with fiction. It’s a noir tale set in #sanfrancisco #ManilaTown in 1929. Tightly told, while still very atmospheric. Revealing history & community through characters who bring us into moment, time, & spaces.
