I was thinking tonight about how transient writing has become as a result of social media. Although social media has given many people the opportunity to be their own writer and publisher it’s turned into a transient form of writing. When you read a really interestung post do you bother months later to try and search for it and read it again or refer to it at all? Where as if you have it in the form of a book you may read it several times and come to love it. More people than ever before can read what we write but ironically more people than ever before end up quickly forgetting what we write.
