After the Democratically elected government of #ManualZuleya was overthrown ( with the help of #Obama ) progressive workers in Honduras formed a new party called #LIBRE, side -stepping their 2 party system and winning through massive popular turnout.

( they would have won in 2017 were it not for election rigging by the ruling party under #JOH )

So anyone that says 3rd parties are impossible is not family with recent political history and has a totally US centric worldview. If people are fed up with one party they can and will change allegiances ( this was Nixon's southern strategy, that gave us the modern #GOP )

The reason #LIBRE won is despite having very little money, and under conditions of severe police repression was commitment to workers struggle, and tireless grassroots organization
