If you do not need advanced features or lots of customized options, just a smooth map with pretty fast user experience and simple, straight to the point offline navigation, it is a very strong option that respects your privacy and your freedom.

Long story short, I reached out to Lokjo and think it'S worth to share their page.They're like googlemaps BUT non-commercial and EU. So no data or algorithms.
Most awesome was this, quote "for example if you want to buy a jacket, just search for 'clothing shop' and it'll show all shops in your area, except corporate ones, we filter them out.'
I think this is just what the world needs right now.

I found a 1932 #map of #NewYorkState on the cover of a brochure promoting #AlbanyNY that is filled with absolutely delightful illustrations (and, yes, some casual racism, which I'll leave for another post).

Planning tomorrow’s trip out to Westlands Museum to see #botanicalArt by #artist Anita Walsmit Sachs. Route via #fietsknooppunten 28-27-05-07-13-70. Glad to be back using a paper #map. Google Maps are useful for quick planning and a rough guide to timing, but are lacking numbered cycle waypoints, and don’t correlate with real-world signposts.
