In #Albany wird die Lok getauscht. Die 101, die damals schon in Niagara Falls rumstand, macht Platz für eine Hudson-Valley-Lok. Von vorn sieht sie ganz schön mitgenommen aus. #Amtrak #MapleLeaf

In Amsterdam ist immer was los am Bahnhof, jetzt ist die Unfallstelle des Kesselwagenzuges nicht mehr weit. Aber erst Mal noch ein bisschen alte Industrie, die an Mitteleuropa erinnert. Und vom Zustand auch ein bisschen an Ostdeutschland. #Amtrak #MapleLeaf

Impressionen einer Zugfahrt mit dem #MapleLeaf: morsche Brücke über den Genesee River in Rochester, ein Moor am Seneca River, ein Schulbusdepot und immer wird die Strecke von einem parallelen Schotterweg für die Servicefahrzeuge begleitet

Weiter geht's mit dem #Amtrak Ahornblatt #MapleLeaf nach #Buffalo, an der Friedensbrücke vorbei zur Station Exchange. Eine Bahnsteigkante unter der Autobahnbrücke reicht für die heutigen Verkehre aus. Muss man sich merken, denn gleich fährt der Zug an einem Bahnhof aus der Glanzzeit der Eisenbahn vorbei.

The metamorphograms from a little while ago are done. They were exposed for about 4 days.
This one was the maple leaf. There are at least four distinct layers in shades of blue.
My poor folding of the stalk of the leaf is shown in all it's chaotic glory!

Folded from archival tissue paper, which results in poor origami, but the image will be what I need.

#MapleLeaf floating on the pond upside down really captured my attention with the lovely yellowish water drops on it's surface. They were tears as autumn would soon be winter and all the #colorful foliage would be long gone.
