En attendant le feu vert d’une cliente, un petit projet perso pour la carte d’un archipel sur un rouleau de papier gris tout pourri (c’est le centre d’un rouleau de papier cadeau)

An in between personnal project while waiting for client’s green light on another map. An archipelago scroll drawn with a kuretake ink brush on toned shitty paper (the center of a wrapping paper roll)

Il y a quelques mois, j'ai dessiné cette carte lors d'une réunion de boulot pour rester concentré. J'aime bien le côté flou/onirique.

A couple of month ago, I attended a work meeting and drew this one to stay focused. Kind of like the dreamy feel of it.

Moonshea Isles map update: I need software to simulate erosion on the height map I’ve drawn which has the geography I want to represent but doesn’t look realistic enough without all the valleys and features river erosion brings. I tried adapting python script and a program called Wilbur, with mediocre results. Now I am using Gaea! Gaea is a commercial offering, which seems to do the job perfectly.

A bit of progress on the dwarf city cutaway geolocation schematics. I’m bored of hatching, and when I get bored I rush and it doesn’t look right so I think I’m going to start on some other bits. This is why video playbacks if my drawing are SO chaotic, I jump between parts of the map like a crazy person.

Very early work in progress for a under mountain dwarf city map that I’m experimenting with a new style for. The concept is the geological schematics for a dwarven city, the dwarfs would naturally want to document the strata and folds and faults of the rocks they are digging through, so I am trying to make it a feature of the map. -section
