yo मी रडले करणकी the film hit some sore spots re: family issues. But there was a reactionary under tone, the "मुंबईत मराठी संस्कृतीची किंमतच नाही राहिली", some typical Brahminical tropes of women empowerment = certain cultured ness + girl bossing. The movie starts only with a मुंजी. "तुम्ही कोल्हापुरी, पण मी मूळ ची मुंबईची आहे". The Kolhapuri is a weird trope of new money "गाववाले". महाराष्ट्र has so many internal and external flavours of bigotry.

He then chose to become a writer. The other was the famous textile mill strike of the 1980s, where mill owners waited out striking workers in #Mumbai and it eventually destroyed the #textile industry in Maharashtra.
