168 days to Ventura Marathon. Plan: 10 miles, comfortable pace. Actual: 6 miles, 9:48 pace (avg HR 143). Combined with yesterday's 5 miles, weekend mileage was 11, so okay!

173 days to Ventura Marathon. Plan: 8x1/4-mile repeats. Actual: 8x1/4-mile repeats. Legs were jelly after 5 intervals, and I was much slower for the last 3, but I did finish them. Ouch!

So, der für diese Woche ist dann auch erledigt. Nächste Woche dann der Monschau Marathon, den wir mit der Crew aber ganz easy laufen werden. Für mich ist das dann im Prinzip einfach nur ein weiterer Longrun im Trainingsplan für den Amsterdam Marathon im Oktober.

I love my Saucony Kinvara 14s. Hell the colorway and look is gorgeous too. I loved the two pairs of 12s I had previously, even though they were a tragic blue color.

But these things wear out so fast. This pair of 14s might not make 300km. The outsole already looks shot under the forefoot at 250km.

I try to get more than 500km out of my shoes, and really won't replace unless needed before 650km.

Das war dann doch relativ zäh heute früh… Geplant war eher eine Pace von 6:30 oder so, aber der zügige 10K gestern Abend war wohl doch keine gute Idee… Dazu noch Nieselregen. Aber nun gut, gelaufen ist gelaufen.
