Dear friends,

Our local #MemorialDay #parade was a quick affair. It was mostly #FireDepartment vehicles, a few school #MarchingBands and #ColorGuards. A couple of Cub Scout troops came through (the younger boys and don't recall older Boy Scouts or any Girl Scouts) and, surprisingly, very few #veterans, maybe ten or 15 marching at the head of the parade. Some may have been in cars but not easily seen.

Idea for a #Protest

Get #Disney to organize a massive protest around the #FLStateCapital.

Tens of thousands of people, including #DisneyCast, #MarchingBands, #DragQueens, #LGBT groups, and #DisneyFans to surround the Legislative building and Governor's Mansion.

They should be instructed to not step out of formation, no matter what. Even if they are arrested, even if they are attacked.

They should only #Sing

Holy cow I just learned that one of the Tucson high schools has a *trick roper* line that marches with their band. This is very very cool, though it looks like maybe it's only boys (???) I have questions...

Uncommon opinion: I have NEVER been into the Macy's #Thanksgiving Day parade. Never been a fan of the giant balloons.

But I have always been a HUGE fan of the Pasadena Rose Parade on New Year's Day. I love #MarchingBands, love the floral floats, and various dance troupes.

I have marched in a few parades myself, so I know how tough they are. But just never been into the Macy's one.
