Two local councillors in #Nuneaton and #Bedworth are repeating the argument that photo ID is needed to collect a missed delivery, so why not when voting? Local MP Marcus Jones (#Marcus4Nuneaton) said the same back in 2018. But it's not true, a fact that is easily checked in seconds on the Royal Mail website.

Ignorance, or are they being disingenuous to support their objectionable new law? And why are they never challenged?

@CentralBylines Quite a shift, even in formerly Brexity #Nuneaton where 65% voted leave. Now only 31% still definitely agree with it, 49% say it was a mistake. Not quite the same as the national picture, but still a big move.

Will our flip-flopping Tory MP Marcus Jones acknowledge changing opinions? He always sides with the government, so unlikely - despite supporting remain in the campaign, he switched to leave after the vote!
