We’ve been dealing with dumpster fires since 1884, I guess.

Are these together as a design choice? Maybe repetition of Sakura flower shapes? I doubt it… but I’m spending a lot of time on this project and it give my mind a chance to make silly connections like this

Clue#2
Next, she’s keeping Holiday cards alongside her Mardi Gras invitations. Here we have 2 1882 Easter cards next to an 1884 Twelfth Night Revelers invitation. What’s in common here? Well… they’re chromolithographs. The invitation may have been hand delivered and not mailed… I don’t know about Easter card delivery at this time though.

Clue #1
This creator was not necessarily collecting Mardi Gras invitations superficially. She also has souvenirs such as the doily from her bouquet from Tom’s wedding.

So I’m working on this Mardi Gras scrapbook and I’m so curious about the person who put this together. The dates of the invitations range from 1871-1907 and several krewes are represented. Was she super well connected? Was she invited to all of these balls!? I have no info about the creator of this object but I’m collecting clues.
