Today’s listening is ‘You Gotta Sin To Get Saved’, the 1993 album by Maria McKee.
This is just such a terrific album. What. A. Voice.
Gary Louris and Mark Olson (who were both in The Jayhawks at the time) both play on this album and the sleeve-notes insist that this is a ‘band’ album and not a solo record.
Perhaps they should have said it was by the ‘Maria McKee Band’, then?
