Another in my challenge to read books made into #Hitchcock films. #TheLodger by #MarieBellocLowndes. Based on the real life story of Jack the Ripper, but this is not a gory slasher. More a character study of the landlord and lady who start to suspect their lodger is responsible for the terrible murders sweeping London. Somewhat dated (it was written in 1917), this slow paced thriller is still actually quite engaging and held my interest till the very end.
