spent 3 months in italy a few years ago and while I maybe could have expected to come out of that with some changes to my approaches to #cooking i didn't expect to entirely abandon canned #marinara sauce - after my time there I started experimenting now and then with the techniques some people had shown me and eventually making a fresh sauce from scratch seemed like the ordinary thing to do while the #pasta pot boils
I tried a couple canned sauces along the way and it seemed like they were not what i had remembered, they were bland and disappointing. The flavor of a fresh sauce is pretty much always awesome
