We were walking along the #harbour in St. John's #Newfoundland at night on our way back to our hotel and this loomed above us with the darkened narrows beyond. With the moon and the glimmering lights on the far shores, it was a lovely calm sight, quite different from the bustling activity of the early morning.

Found this vintage book in my stocking yesterday. I think it was mandatory in the 80s for every home in the Maritimes to have a copy of this collection of humorous essays by Stuart Truman. The title refers to the time when consuming lobster was considered a sign of poverty.
