No, I don’t think so, it’s not a requirement for me.
Both use CommonMark. Typewriter is very easy to use with a very good menu structure. Taio is just a great all round #markdowneditor its modifiable snippets is very handy.
I save lots of news analysis documents for future reference. I save these documents in #markdown form.
Just as an exercise, I created two versions of the same article; one in #markdown and the other in #macOS Pages. They both used the same text formatting as the original webpage. The #markdown document was approximately 8kb in size while the Pages document was approximately 380kb. The #markdown document was also much easier to create.
Useless exercise I guess, but it shows the efficiency of #markdown
As an aside, I use #Taioapp as my #markdowneditor of choice. #Typewriter is a good alternative.

» Hey, what is the name of that cool web-based markdown editor that I never remember the name of, and really hard to find using a google query?

Of course, would also like a lyrics #texteditor/ #markdowneditor that can display #chordpro and suggest #rhymes too.
And if it could optionally display those lyrics and chords as a #revealjs #presentation so it's easily viewable onstage, that'd be 🔥.
Dammit, probably have to design my own #texteditor. 🤦♂️

Asking any #markdown #markdowneditor and #Obsidian #ObsidianMD experts here - this seems standard editor behaviour in Obsidian, but is there any way I can fully control my line breaks manually with a hard line break every time I hit Enter? Lots of Markdown editors just use soft line breaks and this annoys me.

Asking any #markdown #markdowneditor and #Obsidian #ObsidianMD experts here - this seems standard editor behaviour in Obsidian, but is there any way I can fully control my line breaks manually? I hate when any editor auto-double spaces for me on a carriage return. Like in Word when I have to turn off line breaks on carriage returns every single time. If I want a line break, I'll just hit the Enter key twice myself.

#Ghostwriter used to be pretty. I don't know what KDE did to it but it's *not* pretty anymore. Where's the option to use focuswriter themes? Where's my preview stylesheet? Does KDE have something against writing apps *looking nice*? I'd be using the out-of-the-box text editor if I wanted *this*.
Anyone got #MarkdownEditor recs? For like, fiction, and blog posts, not boring-ass github README.md files or whatever *this* seems to be targeted at.
