My little sister tested positive for Covid today. Given how quickly it took my brother, I am terrified. My brother died before vaccines were available. My sister is fully vaccinated. The thought of Covid taking another family member terrifies me. 🙄 #MarkedByCovid

Two years ago today, I had a brief final phone call with my mom. She was gasping for air and didn’t sound like herself. She would die alone in ICU from COVID two days later.

My mom was one of over 77,000 people in the US to die from COVID in December 2020.
