They do it generally, but I really don't understand it with Markle. She's done absolutely nothing objectionable, and yet Clarkson hates her more than most normal people could possibly hate anyone ā and invokes racist, misogynistic imagery and language to punctuate it.
I'm not sure I truly hate anyone, but those public figures for who my feelings might stray into that territory are few in number and mostly limited to those whose politics would see us under the boot of authoritarianism ā possibly including the editors and others who work at the publication that gives a platform to this bile.
I can't imagine what it must be like to feel even more hatred than that for someone as inoffensive and unobjectionable as Meghan Markle.
