I told Mrs. Miasma I wished we could take a digital photo of us as we are now, and send it back through time to the "us" that got married 32 years ago.
Mrs. Miasma said she believes her younger self would've thought "Well, it either went really well or *really* badly."

Armed with the license number and date, I searched DORIS (#nyc online vital records). I pulled up the #application, license, and marriage certificate…everything I needed! Mystery solved! #geneadons

The bride may have been living in Amsterdam as her patents married there in 1920. The marriage took place prior to 1949 as they were in Newport Shropshire Englan than as their first child was born there in 1949. Would there have been any tracking of movement between the Netherlands and U.K. at that time?

We have a tiny linen/toiletry closet. After purging apocalypse supplies we got in March ‘20, I put out the nice baskets I’d gotten to organize stuff
Spouse: these don’t have lids
Me: we don’t need lids, just put things in neatly
Spouse: no, you throw things in & put lids on
Me: no, then it takes too long to find things
An hour later, the baskets have labels (my win) but are up a shelf so the toss method is allowed (his win). Exhausted
