I would fucking marry Martin Short. He’s a straight up copper fox widower, who looks like he could be Thom Yorke’s hot Canadian uncle. He’s hilarious and I’d rather roll around naked on loose staples than read a trash piece about his work.

" #MartinShort : I waited so long to audition because I was afraid. The idea of improvising comedy was daunting to me. I liked doing musicals and plays. I always saw myself more as an actor than as someone in comedy. I joined in 1977, when I replaced #JohnCandy in a show. Instead of playing a scene like John played it, it was like, “Why don’t I just do it as, oh…Columbo?” They wanted you to play to your strengths.

#CatherineOHara : It was my university of comedy: writing, character development, thinking on your feet and learning about scene structure. All of the lessons I learned there, I’m still working on every day. They threw out a lot of references in Chicago. They loved to drop philosophers’ names. Or authors’. In Toronto, we were just trying to crack people up. For us, it was about characters: people we met on the subway, our family members. Our scenes were more about the dynamics between human beings. It was more emotional. We weren’t as well read.

#JoeFlaherty : We were just trying to be funny! Get laughs! In order for the audience to accept us, I wanted them to leave the theatre having laughed a lot."

I'm glad I finally gave this a shot. It's pretty good, I have laughed a few times and as season one comes to an end, it's slightly darker than it began, which is fine. The cast chemistry seems to click very well, and the guest stars are holding their own.
I like the story as well, I'm not much of a murder mystery fan.

It's disappointing to hear that. I don't have Hulu at the moment, as I was going to wait until there were at least two new shows I would want to watch. #TheOrville (which I think moved to Disney) and Season 3 of #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding are the only other things I would watch on Hulu. If #Orville has indeed moved to Disney, then the only reason to pay for it would be #MelBrooks and #SteveMartin & #MartinShort.

So I binge watched all of season 1 of Only Murders in the Building yesterday and it was amazing! I haven't laughed so hard in a good long while. The entire cast is excellent and I loved the twists and turns of the plot.
