I ran a race for the first time at the weekend, the excellent and very well attended Martock 10K. For a race along lanes in a small Somerset village almost 400 people turned up to run. It was super hot but I did knock 5 mins off the time I’d done a couple of weeks earlier and I got my first medal, which was very lovely and made of wood.
