Good.

1️⃣ #BaronBlood returns!

2️⃣ This is a well-structured story. Some scenes show Blood killing people that he's dressed up like #UnionJack. There are pages showing the Pendragons in a training session. And Grace, one of the book's best characters, returns to work at evil Omni Corp.

3️⃣ The training session is a bit bland, but the rest is very interesting. I particularly loved the sequences with the murders. Twisted.

Entertaining.

1️⃣ #SpiderMan. And a spider-man!?

2️⃣ This issue does a lot. It includes a #Spidey scene that works really well. It introduces the regulars individually, and shows the team coming together as one. It starts an inventive new storyline. Best of all, it builds to a big reveal at the end. One you could see coming, but one that still works.

1️⃣ MM & KP vs robots

2️⃣ Our heroes are on an alien world being attacked. There's not much more to it than that. Action without context. And it only covers 11 pages in total.

3️⃣ 11 pages are devoted to a #NickFury& #Punisher story that isn't related to Motormouth. Their villains are MyS-TECH. That's the only (slim) connection. It's an odd package.

2️⃣ Not bad. The sketchy art is appealing, and the story works. It's an alien world, with an interesting villain. She can control men, and turn them into her slaves/soldiers. So, the ladies must save the day.

3️⃣ Bit by bit, the regulars are becoming more distinct. This time, we learn about Stacy's background. And powers.

1️⃣ First, a world of war droids. Then, #XForce.

2️⃣ There are 2 distinct stories here. The first, which ends on page 13, is the better one. It's got action and an interesting sci-fi story. This series is a reverse #STARGATESG1 with villains as protagonists. And these first 13 pages capture some of the potential inherent in that idea.

2️⃣ This is one weird title. No two issues are the same, except for #NickFury being bad at his job.

3️⃣ This one seemingly sets up the real status quo they were aiming for all along. Maybe.

4️⃣ In any case, Harley now has powers and a partner. Her exchanges with KP were the best part.

Solid middle-of-the-road adventure.

1️⃣ #IronMan joins the team on a mission, battling aliens.

2️⃣ The involvement of Iron Man is highly contrived. He's in disguise. In the UK version of this story, running only 12 pages, he doesn't appear!

3️⃣ It's a standard alien world setting. There's a downed ship. And something is killing everyone. Seen it before, but it's undeniably entertaining.

The story is okay, but the telling of it is clumsy.

1️⃣ Shevaun and the #XMen fight evil in a small, sealed microverse.
2️⃣ Mostly it's just fighting. Complex explanations are given in the narration boxes. There's a disconnect between the epic concepts in those boxes and the fact that we're just watching a very bland X-Men battle.
3️⃣ This is the first issue to feature #TheXMen on every page.

1️⃣ Our heroine rescues Vakume from Mephisto's realm, then saves a UN battleship.

2️⃣ She explains her plan, near the beginning. And I'm reading it and I'm wondering what on earth is she talking about? It's really obvious gobbledygook.

3️⃣ The broad strokes of the issue make sense, however. First, she saves her friend(?). Then, she prevents a disaster. But the particulars of what she's doing are blatant nonsense.

1️⃣ Un-Earth. Bugs. Hell.

2️⃣ Inept writing basically destroys the cool concepts in this comic. It's crazy. And has potential. But this script is clunky. The X-Men are shoehorned in. Again. The best I can say is that it's so bad that it's massively entertaining. And I really like the art.

Awful.

1️⃣ Something something something. And fighting.

2️⃣ I've rarely seen a book fall so far, so fast. The first issue was average. Nothing special, but it told a coherent and enjoyable story. This? This is a mess.

3️⃣ First, the X-Men pages are clearly written/drawn so that they can be inserted/removed as required. This is true of all American guest characters in Marvel UK comics of this time. I don't mind that. I mind that it is done so badly here.

1️⃣ Cap dead in a bomb blast? Falc investigates.

2️⃣ First appearance of Jordan Dixon (aka The Viper). He’s a pretty lame villain, but - as of this particular cliffhanger - he actually has the upper hand on both heroes.

3️⃣ Dixon will pop up quite a few more times in CAPTAIN AMERICA over the next couple of years. After that, he won’t be seen again until 1992′s #DARKANGEL series from #MarvelUK.

By-the-numbers origin.

1️⃣ New heroine trained by the #XMen.

2️⃣ In some ways it feels like a comic from the 1960s. There's no subtlety. Everything is clearly spelled out. Compared to the other comics that feature MyS-TECH, that is refreshing. So much so that this is the best of the bunch. It also gives context to the events of #MOTORMOUTH and #WARHEADS, making both a little better. Or, at least, helping us understand them better.

1️⃣ Leona's first mission concludes. Then, Misha has a vision.

2️⃣ The first 5 pages are clearly the end of the previous story. Then - Bam! - we start something completely different. It's an unpleasant reading experience. Confusing, too.

3️⃣ The ideas here in this second part are very strong. But the plot isn't anything to get excited about.

Detailed.

1️⃣ Time-travelling mercs, working for the bad guys, get half their team killed by #Wolverine.

2️⃣ There are lots and lots of interesting ideas here. But the execution is muddy. The specifics of the time-loop story, in the first half, read like gibberish.

3️⃣ The second 11 pages are a completely different story where a new character joins the team, and they all head off for a new destination. (With no Wolverine there to kill half of them!)

✅ Harley arrives somewhere else, gets in trouble; Killpower kills some SHIELD agents.

✅ Nothing much changes. There's lots of running to stand still. We know very little about Harley, or those shoes she's wearing. 11 of the pages don't even feature her. This is violent fun. But I feel like I just read issue one twice!
