I think this is a worthy read with regard to #degrowth. I don't know enough about #marx and #engles, but as I read this I think they didn't know a lot about natural systems, #ecology, taking care of the land. And I don't know how it's possible to do #Marxist-style #communism or any communism within true #democracy.

Or it might be that it's hard for me to imagine democracy outside the US system, which is not one bit true democracy. It's not even a good republic. Look at the fight of the GOP to retain power through voter disenfranchisement now, look at corporate personhood. We are going down the wrong path.

I think we need degrowth and we need it soon but I don't know how to achieve it without revolution, honestly. I don't know how to get the rich and powerful out of power.
