This morning I saw an adult Bald Eagle fly over the supermarket parking lot just as I was getting in my car to drive home! The high point of my day for sure.

Afternoon birding, Pine Lake: two croaking ravens flew over c. 150 feet/50 meters high, with two Bald Eagles flying together, much higher still. Later, a bunch of birds were fussing at something (not me), including a Winter Wren and a Brown Creeper. A kingfisher was calling and flying around the lake. #birds #birding #MarylandBirding #MDBirds

Birds at Lake Artemesia this afternoon: bunches of Ring-necked Ducks, a coot and a grebe, Sunny and breezy, another perfect January day. Other than a hunting Red-shouldered Hawk, there weren't too many landbirds. #MarylandBirding #Birding #CollegePark
