Dear lazywebs,

Is there a ready-made library-agnostic solution that combines both:

1. masonry layout
2. lazy loading of images

and doesn't require too much hacking?

It has to work both in Firefox and Chrome and I don't mind it using client-side JS. Bonus points if it's single-digit kilobytes minified.

But the content of statuses varies a lot, so using a to achieve it leaves wide gaps in the rows. The only solution for that is to truncate the content with max-heights (there's a mode for but it's only supported by and then only with an about:config flag).

So I went with instead which are widely supported and achieve the masonry effect. The problem with those is that content is laid out chronologically down the , not across the rows.

A couple of decades ago, work was done to ensure the spillway could handle flood events of increasing magnitude as a result of . As you can see there was some flow today over it.
