I’m thinking about moving the media storage on my instance back from S3 to locally hosted/served (there’s only me here with plenty of storage). I can’t find a guide anywhere, so could do with some advice before I have a try…

Currently images are served from media.*, cname’d to cloudfront. If I make the change, but choose not to keep the media.* subdomain running and have it served from the normal masto subfolder, do other instances kind of pick up the change and sort it out for their users? Or will prev images already be cached their side and new requests will have the right media urls from my instance?

Also, I guess I’ll need to stop services and s3cmd the current bucket data to local before changing the env and starting back up?

This is odd. Anyone on #mastoadmim notice that Android notifications via @Tusky are really delayed? About 15 mins after I had the Chrome notification the app notification happened. I don't even know where to start debugging this issue.

Fascinating: I am getting email delivery errors from mail being sent by some host in China using valid mastodon account names as the from address. I’m sitting in a beach chair right now so haven’t had a chance to look into it further. Anyone experience anything similar? #mastoadmim

What is involved with making a theme for #mastodon (/ #hometown). Is there a guide? Some docs? What is involved to get it into Mastodon where users can select it? I suspect we have some members on or friendly to our instance who would help us make a very cool punkhouse theme. But I would like to give them some resources.
