Beef bibimbap at Ki Ko Yo in Flagstaff for lunch today. The custard egg is a little odd, but overall this was very good, especially the mushrooms. But the revelation was the bonchon. I'm used to getting six to eight dishes, with maybe one of them nice and the others phoning it in. Ki Ko Yo gave me only cucumbers, tofu, and kimchee, but each one was made with care and worth eating all of. (I would usually go for none of these.) #food #mastodine
Achiote smoked pork osso buco with green chili and Tillamook cheddar polenta, carrots, asparagus, and cabbage at Josephine's for my first meal in Flagstaff last night. This was absolutley amazing, and also the fastest fine meal I've ever had. Sure they're cooking these things all day, but I've had slower service at Culver's. As a one-top, at the end of a driving day, nothing wrong with being in and out in fifteen minutes. #food #mastodine
Pepperoni, mushroom, black olive, and green chile pizza on the most amazing multigrain crust at Golden Crown Panaderia for my last meal in Albuquerque. Absolutely perfect pizza and what I want out of New Mexico at the same time. #food #mastodine

I went back to Fork and Fig for dinner on Tuesday, for this wild boar sausage pasta with nasturtium microgreens and hazelnuts. This wasn't quite as transcendent as the enchiladas but I wasn't unhappy. #food #mastodine
(As an aside, I think both fine restaurants I ate at in ABQ have the same microgreens supplier, and they could stand to harvest a day later.)

Surf and turf appetizer and fall salad for dinner at Ten3 on top of Sandia Peak last night. Also a fun tram ride 4000 feet to the top. #food #mastodine
I made a warm crab salad with egg, roasted red pepper, Mexican sour cream, and a little dill. Then served it on toasted caraway rye topped with avocado, home-grown radish sprouts, and fresh cilantro.
