I created my own mastodon server using #docker on #synology buy my mastodon url is now a synology subdomain which is not optimal.

Can I redirect it to a brand new domain name? Like mydomain.com

The reaction of many server admins:

@nirak I've been trying to get my Mastodon instance setup for a few days now (been working on it between other projects) and today I got as far as the mastodon error page.

At this point I'm not sure if the problem is my config file, postgresql setup, or something else.

Tomorrow I'm going to delete the postgresql cluster and rebuild it.

If anyone has a good, working mastodon config file to share, please do.

Good lord I'd forgotten what a pain setting up email for a new site could be.What are other mastodon admins doing for this? Hetzner blocks port 25 and 465 to prevent spammers, so I'm trying to set up AWS SES as that seems most cost effective. #mastodonAdministration #mastodon
