Interestingly, with less than 10 minutes to go on Elon Musk's crowdsourced CEO question, I have noticed that the new official Twitter "Promotion of alternative social platforms policy", which effectively banned Twitter users from linking to other social media platforms (incl. Mastodon, Facebook, Instagram, and others) seems to have been taken down.

After poking around, I find that not only is my Twitter profile link to my Mastodon profile is flagged as dangerous but any tweet or post to any Mastodon URL is blocked. Bleh. Free speech my ass. #MastodonBan

Talk about total hypocrisy. After all that talk about free speech, he turns around and suspends the official Twitter account for Mastodon. Elon Musk should not have any control over who stays and who goes. I knew from the start that he's bad news for Twitter. I can no longer freely repost my tweet about where people can find me on Mastodon without being warned that I might be violating Twitter policy. This is the warning given. I have not clicked "continue." This follows the banning of a bunch of journalists last night from Twitter.
