My intro: I started getting into Twitter when Facebook stopped doing news in Australia. It was the #auspol experience that got me, when people were fighting L-NP/Murdoch nonsense and corruption at fed gov level. With people like PRGuy17 feeding us tabloid-ified versions of progressivist reality.

I like the look of this fediverse, interesting to be part of the migration experience.

Maybe I am just slow to adapt, but I find mastodon difficult to get comfortable with. As I explained in a previous toot, the fedithing means I can’t interact with some of my friends on here. I get the idea of content warnings, but it also means a lot of extra clicks to see things, just because they are talking about current events or “the other side” or are “meta”. And for a supposedly friendly place, there is quite a bit of tone policing.
