I love how my profile picture looks when I boost my own toots on my Mastodon instance with the #MastodonBirdUI installed - it looks like I'm taking a nibble out of my profile picture! :MOULE_Ha:
@davetroy hi, would be cool, if we'd have longer posting here (more then 500 characters, like up to 12K).
Plus, have you heard of #MastodonBirdUI (by @rolle )? Would be cool, if would have it here as either site theme or custom css.
Thank you in advance!
Gotta love the #PWA version of @rolle #MastodonBirdUI on #allthingsmusic

Ein kjapp test av mastodon-bird-ui.
(Dessutan fekk @harald nesten ei stjerne frΓ₯ meg π )

The #MastodonBirdUI project is fantasticm and stupid easy to install as a site admin. https://github.com/ronilaukkarinen/mastodon-bird-ui The only thing I don't like is the change to the style around verified sites. I'd guess this decision was made to conserve space, but I liked the big clunky box.
@rolle @HannaEsmeralda_ @turvanen I had translated your full conversation, including ALL posts that are here, from Finnish to my native language.
Yeah, would be cool if @Setok would make that possible here, on this server as well.....
About bird sickness = I don't know. I just would make sure that I'm not about to get sick, and would make sure to do everything to avoid this issue.
( @Setok hey, would be cool to have #MastodonBirdUI installed on your instance as well, and longer posts too π)
I just updated my #Custom #Mastodon #Instance's #CSS to the #MastodonBirdUI by @rolle β everything looks so much more modern and refreshing! So easy to install, too! :MOULE_Happy: #UI #UserInterface
#custom #mastodon #instance #css #mastodonbirdui #ui #userinterface
I got 'Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge.' while upgrading Mastodon v4.1.5 to v 4.1.6. I stashed and installed v.4.1.6. Will the git stash just go away on its own If I ignore or do I need to take some action? #MastoAdmin
The only difference I did in v4.1.5 was install @rolle #MastodonBirdUI ( @stux's Elephant version) and the timeout in outgoing requests #26116 merge that came out last week or so.
(FYI, don't need birdui. It's just me, I'm used to Mastodn UI now)
I don't like this bug! Why can I move the image up and down in #MastodonBirdUI, but not left or right? Please add a way to move images to any side, not just up and down
Currently trying out #Firefish and since I am on desktop right now, I just want to praise how great @rolle's #MastodonBirdUI is.
I really liked elk when using a desktop but I had issues with it getting stuck every so often and needing a refresh of the page to see new stuff. Is that just something mastodon does? Idk. Either way it made me try to make the default experience direct from my server better. I'm trying out #MastodonBirdUI right now and I'm really enjoying it. I honestly don't really remember twitter looked like but I am liking this. It still has the mastodon colors and I'm a sucker for a good blurple.
@rolle You are too humble. At least on my 27" display, #MastodonBirdUI is just about perfect.

I am truly amazed with what @rolle managed to pull off with his #MastodonBirdUI project.
I love it not necessary for making Mastodon instance looking like #DeadBirdSite, but for making it prettier.
I've done some CSS modding on my instance, and while I made it more bearable than default #Mastodon UI, I didn't do great job about it.
So yeah, take this as an endorsement and recommendation - go and grab #MastodonBirdUI now.

I tuned the #MastodonBirdUI a bit for myself. I really like that images are placed on a side, this allows eyes to follow the text column more easily for me.
Also, I don't like media cards, URLs are fine, and showing the action buttons aren't necessary until hovered.
