Ok so trying to find who to follow is kinda hard on this thing..... Everyone is an artist, writer, scientist or something equivalent.
Where are the folks that have worked in factories for 38 years, or is it just me?

I'd change that to an all-purpose #Makers whether that's science or "the arts."

#Mastodon is very much over-stuffed with people who create because they have to. Some of them do it professionally, some of them not but the passion is the same.

And, yep, that's a pretty tasty slice of people who, in whatever way, are making culture.

(Note - this is all COMPLETELY anecdotal, based upon my hugely biased personal interactions.)
