Hey, quick #mastodon question: is there any way to follow a public/local timeline from another instance in your mastodon app?

Eg. I'm on todon.eu, but I love to visit dice.camp/public/local. If I could have that as like a tab or a list in my home screen I'd be elated.

Question for the #mastodonhelp4newbies #metatext : I’m using the Metatext app on iOS and I can’t upload any videos to Mastodon from my phone. Even little 5 second clips. Photos work fine, for vids I either get an upload error message or it does nothing. Is this common and anyone know a fix? Thanks!

I forgot to add a text reader description to my last post but when I try and edit to add it, it comes up with an error. Has anyone else had this problem? I don't want to delete and redo the most as I only noticed hours later, and it has comments.

Ok how the heck do I find and follow more accounts? Looking for game devs with works in progress (I collect physical Nintendo Switch games) and from what I can tell people in that space are being slow to transition over, but there's also a part of me that thinks I just don't know how to find them???

I am currently using Mastodon's official app but I keep hearing about other apps that let you follow hashtags. Although I see the official app has added this to its IOS version, so I assume, at some point, the android app will get this feature too? But this would be a very handy feature to have.

What app are you using? Should I swap?

But.... is there a way I can do this with ActivityPub tools like WriteFreely or Plume and then embed my text from there into a toot here? Or do I need to find (or create) an instance for this purpose?

The only website I have is an Adobe Portfolio site that is linked to my Behance account. I do have my own domain redirected to it. I don’t think I can create a button of text link with the Mastodon verification anchor tag. Adobe also restricts what can be in an iframe to certain major companies like YouTube. Anyone know a workaround to I can verify using what I have described? #MastodonHelp #MastodonHelp4Newbies #verification
