Took a notion and made a trip to the #IFI to see The Eight Mountains (Le Otto Montagne). An Italian movie about a boy from the city who befriends a mountain boy during the summer, and how their lives take different paths through adulthood.

I thought it was very good, with some universal themes around the reality of life.

I really l don't think anyone else could have pulled off The Terminator like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Maybe his limited acting range was key to the whole thing, but the combination of his build and imposing presence is unreal.

I am glad I did not pay to watch this movie.  A kid disappointed with his father live choices befriended a ghost because he's unable to have friends IRL to have to let the ghost go at the end of the movie.  Then there's, I don't know why, a CIA involvement with ghosts which made no sense. It didn't add any depth to the film, so go figure.

Marcia, la testigo que podría enviarlo a prisión, Boogie es descartado por sus altas pretensiones (medio millón de dólares por hacer ese trabajo). Un asistente de Calabria lo convence de utilizar a otro asesino de métodos más modernos (Blackburn) y que pide menos dinero por el trabajo. Sin embargo, Boogie secuestra a Marcia y luego extorsiona a Calabria pidiéndole un millón de dólares a cambio de que Marcia no se presente a declarar. Calabria, después de haber fracasado en sus intentos por eliminar a Boogie (que ha eliminado a todos los matones enviados por el capo), decide recurrir a Blackburn para ejecutar a Boogie.

I have no idea what's going on with movie ratings/critics anymore. #ThePaleBlueEye is one of the finest Netflix movies released recently but critics think an android killing slasher (how original 🙄!) is the better movie because the former is a slow burn.
