She knew how to #embellish he thought grudgingly. How to take something ordinary—whether that be an interaction, an event, a journey—and dress it up, leaving just enough truth to be acceptable, just enough masquerade to be desirable.

And he realized, watching her in that moment, that she’d been embellishing her feelings for him all these years as well. Dressing them up into something that looked like love when it was actually tolerance at best. #MastodonPrompt
