Sometimes when I enter alt text, I find I cannot scroll down far enough to hit "Apply"; sometimes entering full screen works, but sometimes not. (I can scroll within the box where I enter text, but not the whole window). This is on web, not app.

This is strange. So far, every mastodon third party app on android supports pinned posts using a pinned tab on the profile page. On IOS apps, pinned posts are shown at the top and the designation of it being pinned is shown. Not sure why this is OS related. #mastodonquestion #jonlh #random

Is there a Mastodon app that allows for translation of posts? That is a feature of some other social media apps that I find useful. Anybody know how the post language filter works? Does it require each poster to set the correct language for their posts? In other words, is people not changing their post language from English the reason I’m seeing so many German posts in my feed when that’s not a language I have selected?

Also related: does the language filter block boosted posts that don’t use my languages, or only posts from my follows?

@spookybun It’s a good question. It’s easy to see on #Tooot for iOS or Android, so presumably it should be easy to see elsewhere, but I’ll be darned if I can find it anywhere on the Web version.

I will give a shout to Tooot. It’s the only app I’ve not felt feature restricts. And it provides an easy answer to your question (click on your face in the bottom corner) 😅
