👀 I haven't seen this outside of a dating app before… Some weird catfishing scam where I started getting direct messages on Mastodon from a “cute girl” who tried to get me to chat on Telegram.

A quick Google Image search of their profile photo landed me on a camgirl influencer's Instagram with a name that didn't match... Seemed safe to assume the photo was stollen.

⛔️ I reported the user to the instance admin @stux and they've been shutdown. 👏

People have started business as usual. They are creating new instances and also opening donation boxes. Lot's of instance already have but why they are doing that? I think it's a new part scam.
