Words like 'decentralised platform' don't mean anything to your average disgruntled birdsite user looking for a new home.
Some kind of centralised signup that asks you questions about your location and interests (like Twitter does anyway) and then suggests an appropriate server based on your answers might be a good idea? @Mastodon #mastodonsplaining
