@DreamGryphon I took a look over there and found that the #feature to #exclude specific #hashtags already exists as 'filters'. It's not exactly easy to find, it's under Preferences. But I tested it out and it works pretty great.

@stonedonkey I use #Tusky and the Home tab will only show people and #HashTags that I follow. There are other tabs for Local and Federated if I want to branch out.

@zeise @ikostra The official #Mastodon app isn't that great (it isn't horrible, but there are better apps out there for Mastodon). I use #Tusky but finding the right app for you is personal preference.

In addition to following specific people, you can also follow specific #hashtags, this way you'll get the topics you're interested in delivered to your feed.

There is a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's amazing how many great conversations are out there.

@hakirsch @PragmaticOne @adaddinsane I prefer to add my #Hashtags within my text, rather than in a list at the bottom to avoid getting like it's #SelfPromotion . However, if I'm not mentioning the overall topic of my message within the text of my message, then I'll append the hastag to the end.
