I didn’t know quite how to do this new thing and accidentally joined on the app in a foreign language! Even with stumbling my way through this, (as I have done with all social media at first) it’s been fun and interesting so far, and I’m willing to see what happens with the folk who are here. It’s a relief to have no adverts, and follow interesting people without being algorithmed into it..😂 #mastodonvirgin #newtomastodon

The thing is, I just don't get this place. It uses words like "decentralised" & "fediverse" & "servers" like I didn't always have an IT Dept to call on (okay, not always, but that is what I do when I've a computer issue at work). I think I've created two accounts on two different servers by accident & at this hour I'm too tired after a long week to work it out. Haven't figured out how to see lots of different content here yet either. That learning curve is pretty steep. #MastodonVirgin #NZTwits
