Yupp... die Version (bzw. das Icon) auf dem erwähnten anderen Gerät spricht noch von #Mastodos... noch nicht von #Megalodon (wobei es da ja auch eine Bibliothek dieses Namens gibt, wie ich zwischenzeitlich feststellte).

Yupp, #Tusky bietet die föderierte #Zeitleiste, wenn sie auch ggf. zunächst konfiguriert werden muß.

Ich dachte allerdings, #Megalodon rüstet diese nach (im Vergleich zu MfA)... touche hier gerade mit Tusky und habe #Mastodos nur auf einem anderen Gerät.

We talked about the name change of the #Mastodos project to #Megalodon.

To keep it easy, you may want to try #Tusky and/or #Fedilab on #Android. Both should be available via F-Droid and also the PlayStore.

@nick @jayesstoo ich bin ja erst seit Mitte Nov. hier und hatte von Beginn an #Tusky genutzt (plus #Fedilab ☺️) und kurz darauf auch #Mastodos.
Nach dem letzten Update eine kleine Überraschung - neue Logos, und Mastodos hat sogar den Namen komplett geändert. Der Name Mastodos (mit S!!) hatte wohl wegen der allzustarken Namensähnlichkeit mit Mastodon für zu viel Verwechselung gesorgt.

And #Megalodon (formerly known as #Mastodos) is a fork of #Mastodon for #Android adding missing features.

Bei mir gedreht... #Tusky primär und daneben noch #Fedilab installiert.

Es gibt inzwischen auch einen #Fork der "#Mastodon for #Android"-App... #Megalodon (vormals #Mastodos), die einige Funktionen nachrüstet.

Nebenbei... in der originalen "Mastodon for Android"... sehe ich das richtig, was ich nicht sehe, nämlich Bildbeschreibungen?

#Tusky und #Fedilab sind länger dabei... und beide auch via F-Droid erhältlich.

Mit #Mastodos bzw. #Megalodon ist auch eine Variante der "Mastodon for Android" existent, die fehlende Funktionen nachrüstet. Zur Zeit etwa bei Izzys Repo.

Ja und nein. Die "#Mastodon for #Android/#iOS" sind zwar die Apps vom Mastodon-Projekt, aber recht neu und eher einsteigerorientiert (bieten nicht alle Funktionen).

Wenn Du Android nutzt, wirf ggf. mal einen Blick auf #Tusky und/oder #Fedilab (beide auch via F-Droid verfügbar).

Mit #Mastodos bzw. #Megalodon existiert auch eine Variante der Mastodon-App, die Funktionen ergänzt.

I fixed this in the current release, so unless you're updating Megalodon using F-Droid (from @IzzyOnDroid's repo, for now), you'll have to download the new version manually. Sorry about that!
